HSA and FSA, already at your checkout
Save 30% by using your HSA or FSA card
At checkout, your card shows up as a payment choice beside credit card and the digital wallets. Because that money was set aside before income tax, you hold on to the tax you'd otherwise have owed.
These numbers are an illustration only, not tax advice and not a discount. What you save hinges on your own tax rates and plan.
What happens at checkout
Just three steps, and all of them happen in the checkout you already know.
-
Pick HSA/FSA in the payment list
You'll find it next to credit card and the digital wallets, not tucked into some other flow.
-
Answer a few health questions
Your answers go to a licensed provider for review; our products are not what gets reviewed.
-
Pay, on one card or two
Pay with your HSA or FSA card, or divide the order between two cards. After checkout, your letter of medical necessity is sent to you by email.
What makes paying with HSA or FSA a saving for me 30%?
Such accounts serve a single purpose: covering with pre-tax dollars whatever treats, relieves or prevents a condition diagnosed by a provider. The IRS applies that test to the expense itself, regardless of which store sells it.
Price savings at Remi
Set the slider to your personal combined rate. Pricing is pulled directly from the Remi catalog whenever this page loads, so the figures never go out of date.
Combined refers to income tax plus payroll taxes, and it varies with the person, their income and their state.
Tax you never pay
$45.00
on a $150.00 order paid with pre-tax dollars at 30%.

When a letter of medical necessity is needed, a licensed provider reviews your answers through an independent partner.
Frequently asked questions
What are FSA and HSA accounts?
Each one allows you to put aside part of your paycheck pre-tax for qualifying health costs. An HSA is a health savings account that typically remains yours from one year to the next. An FSA is a flexible spending account that usually comes with an annual deadline. Unsure whether you have one? Ask your employer or benefits provider.
Can I use my HSA/FSA at Remi?
Yes. At checkout, choose HSA/FSA from the list of payment methods, respond to a few brief health questions, and use your HSA or FSA card just like any other card. Should your order require a letter of medical necessity, you will get it by email once you check out.
Can I use my regular credit card instead?
Yes. All the usual payment methods remain available. An order can also be divided: charge a portion to your HSA or FSA card and the remainder to an ordinary credit or debit card.
What is a letter of medical necessity?
The IRS treats some purchases as medical expenses only when they address a specific health condition rather than general wellness. A letter of medical necessity is a licensed provider's written statement that a product may help treat a condition you have.
Certain items require a letter of medical necessity. Not every customer is eligible, and your plan has the last word on any claim.
Are there any fees?
The price you see on the product page is what you pay. Using your HSA or FSA card adds no extra fee at checkout.
When should I use my FSA/HSA dollars?
At any point in the year. HSA funds typically carry over from one year to the next. FSA funds tend to have a deadline, and numerous plans follow a use-it-or-lose-it rule at year end, so look up your plan's dates ahead of December.
How long until I get my letter of medical necessity?
After checkout it lands in your inbox. Missing it? Look in your spam folder first, and if it's not there, contact us and we'll sort it out.
I don't have an HSA/FSA. Can I still benefit?
Using pre-tax money requires holding one of these accounts. Plenty of employers provide them during open enrollment, so ask around. Checking out with any regular card still works fine.
I don't live in the US. Can I still use this?
HSA and FSA exist only in the United States, so the pre-tax route is limited to US accounts. Anything on the site can still be purchased in the usual way.
Use the card you already have
Choose HSA or FSA at checkout. The rest of your order stays as is.

Certain products we sell could count as a medical expense under IRS guidelines. A few require a letter of medical necessity, meaning a licensed provider's written view that a product may treat a particular condition of yours. A licensed provider reviews this through an independent partner, and Remi does not. Eligibility is not universal. Nothing sold on this site has been pre-reviewed or pre-approved for you.
Receiving a letter doesn't mean your plan will cover the cost. That call belongs to your plan administrator, the company behind your HSA or FSA, and each plan has its own rules.
Remi does not act as a tax advisor, medical provider, or benefits administrator, and this page offers no tax, legal, or medical advice. If you have questions about your account or a claim, reach out to your plan administrator. For tax matters, consult a tax professional.
Each of these accounts has an annual contribution limit. Current figures are published by the IRS in Publication 969.
